Illiteracy and possible solutions

1We, human beings, use words to explain our thoughts and emotions. However, there are some that suffer from inability of explaining clearly, also known as illiterate.

It goes without saying that being capable of explaining your opinion on something is enormously significant. Nevertheless, there are some who fail to express their feelings. Whatshould be done to help solve this problem and how exactly?

To face illiteracy we need to be patient. For instance, yesterday I came across a person that couldn';;t explain his disagreement concerning religion. He thought, just like me, that religious lessons shouldn';;t be taught at school because they are not scientific and contrast what has been proven by science classes. However, John (my illiterate friend) couldn';;t explain why. It is unpleasant to know that some are suffering from this which seems to be the plauge of our era.  So how could one help such people?

Initially, we should ask for their opinion and also ask for examples .This way, they are given the opportunity to explain their opinion on any topic by giving an example of their daily life. It has also been scientifically proven that by discussing we stimulate our brain cells and, thus, we provide brilliant opportunity for thinking. Therefore, illiterracy is not incurable but rather easily curable when it comes to gentle and tolerant people.

Last but not least, we should always be eager to teach how to transfer messages. Many fail to explain by words and, hence, we should teach them body language. By teaching body language one can explain his or her feelins probably more clearly even that the best authors!

To conclude, it appears to me that the need to confront illiteracy is imperative. On the whole, we must care for illiteracy since it is a problem our society is plagued by. After all, isn';;t it the reason why we are social in the first place, to help others solve their problems?
